THE FOUNTAIN-NEW LIBRARY

The Fountain-New Library was dedicated on May 27, 1988.
The library obtained its name thanks to a very generous
donation given towards the construction project of the
facility by Mrs. Janie New, in honor of her parents
(Charles and Mary Fountain - pictured left) and in-laws
(Luther and Georgia New - pictured right).
The Circulation/Reference Desk is where you will obtain
helpful information to begin your research process.

The library computers allow you to perform research
on your topics. Some of the services available on the
computers include our online catalog system to find books
in our collection, electronic databases to find articles and
Microsoft Office products to type papers or construct
presentations.
Books are arranged on the shelves in order according
to the Library of Congress Classification System.

The Reference section contains multi-volume sets,
dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes and various subject
specific resources that will guide you in your research
project.

The periodicals are shelved in alphabetical order by title.
Back issues are held in bound copy, microfilm and
microfiche formats. The library owns a special reading
machine to assist in locating and printing articles on
microfilm/microfiche.

The Music Listening Room has several stations with
machines that can play CDs, Records and Cassettes. In
addition, movies can be viewed using the VCR and DVD
players.

The Morgan Gallery (conference) Room provides an ideal
classroom setting and meeting area for groups and
committees.
The Reading Room area provides a large, quiet setting
to read and study!
