BARONS BASEBALL

It was an all or none week for the Brewton-Parker College baseball program.
The Barons swept past Thomas University and then learned what it felt like in a series with Auburn University Montgomery.
"We have played a lot of good teams," said Barons coach Chad Parker, "and the experiences are causing the kids to do a lot of growing up."
Brewton-Parker beat Thomas 12-10 and 7-1 last Tuesday and then traveled to Alabama for the AUM series. AUM won 11-1, 9-2 and 11-2.
The Barons record now stands at 13-26-1 (6-9) and is headed into the deep part of the conference schedule.
Brewton-Parker's team has but two remaining home series. The Barons face Emmanuel College on April 19 and 20, and Georgia Southwestern on April 26 and 27.

SOFTBALL

Brewton-Parker College's fastpitch softball team had a busy of 8 games.
Lady Barons coach Jill Pool and her team hit the field for doubleheaders with Emmanuel, Wesleyan, North Georgia, and Southern Wesleyan.
Brewton-Parker split the series with Emmanuel, taking the first game 8-0 and then losing 5-3 in the second.
The Lady Barons then pounced on Wesleyan and claimed wins by the scores of 5-2 and 14-0.
Luck changed as the team met with North Georgia, who snared both games by scores of 6-0 and 2-1.
The weekend came to a close with Southern Wesleyan winning 7-6 and 6-5 in close games.
The team is 11-16 (1-9) on the season and are coming off a tough weekend against stingy competition.
The team is making preparations to host a string of home games: Georgia Southwestern; April 12, SCAD; April 15, Thomas; April 17, Faulkner; April 19, Emmanuel; and, April 20, Spring Hill.

Lady Baron fastpitch softball teammates gather at the mound before heading to battle. Brewton-Parker College's women are preparing for upcoming conference opponents.
