The Brewton-Parker men's basketball team will compete as the seventh seed in the 2009 SSAC Tournament.  BPC will take on the #2 seed Lee University Flames.  The Barons split the season series with Lee, with each team holding home court.  Tip-off will be at 4:00pm on Thursday, March 5th at Shorter College.

Bracket:

The first round will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, proceeding the Shane's Rib Shack banquet (both men's and women's) on March 4 in the Winthrop-King Centre. The higher seed will be the home team, with the exception being Shorter College, who will always be the home team.

Thursday's games:
Game 1: #3 Emmanuel College vs. #6 Berry College - 2:00 p.m.

Game 2: #2 Lee University vs. #7 Brewton-Parker College - 4:00 p.m.

Game 3: #1 Auburn-Montgomery vs. #8 Faulker University - 6:00 p.m.

Game 4: #4 Shorter College vs. #5 Southern Polytechnic - 8:00 p.m.

Friday's games:
Game 5: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2 - 6:00 p.m.
Game 6: Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4 - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday's games:
Game 7: SSAC Championship Game - Winner of Game 5 vs. Winner of Game 6 - 7:00 p.m.

Ticket Prices
The ticket prices for this event will be as follows:

        $6.00            Adult General Admission
        $3.00            Students w/ ID
        $2.00            Children under 12

There will be no complimentary tickets or pass lists provided.  NAIA membership cards, of course, will be honored at the door.

The SSAC Tournament T-Shirt can be seen below and will be for sell at Shorter College all days of the tournament (while supplies last), for $10.

The cover to the Men's Basketball Tournament Program can be seen at top. The program, featuring school rosters, quick facts, schedule/results, and the bracket will be available for purchase at the door the $3 (tentative).

Directions to the Winthrop-King Centre (click for photos and information):

From Atlanta:

1. 75 North, exit 290: Rome.

2. Turn right until highway dead ends.

3. Turn left, then immediate right on 41 North.

4. Continue approximately 3 miles, take right fork on 411 South: Rome.

5. 19 miles to Rome. At Rome exit (approximately 19 miles from the I-75 exit) follow Hwy 20 West (also known as Turner-McCall Blvd and Shorter Avenue.)

6. Continue straight on Hwy 20 West for approximately 5 miles. Shorter College is located approx. one mile past Floyd Medical Center, on the left.

7. From entrance to Shorter, continue straight until you see Eubanks Welcome Center. Take left up the hill and continue until you see the building below you (is either straight or to your left coming up the hill). There are tennis courts behind it and three levels of parking in front.
