#8 Andrew Allison |
The Barons have Scotland to thank for sending Andy Allison to play for the team. Andy comes from Paisley, Scotland where his mother works as a nurse and his father is self-employed. He has one sister.
When asked recently about his family’s favorite activity he replied, “Eating Haggis”. Since Haggis is customarily prepared in Scotland by making a stew out of a sheep’s heart, liver and lungs then boiling it up and serving it in the sheep’s stomach, one can surmise that Andy was displaying his dry Scottish humor with this reply. If Allison is serious and this is really his favorite dish, I am sure we can make him feel right at home here in South Georgia by fixing him up a mess of chitterlings.
Allison attended St. Andrews Academy where he enjoyed playing the bagpipes and wearing traditional kilts at school events and on weekends. He also participated in the annual Scottish games competition.
He played soccer for St. Andrews for four years and for his club Aidrie United. He also made the Elgin City team. Allison is majoring in Business Management at BPC.
