#20 Mike Gibbs

Freshman Mike Gibbs comes to BPC from Middleburg, Fla., where he was born and raised.  He has one older brother, who is an athletic trainer at the University of Florida.  His father is retired from the U.S. Navy and is now a Sheriff in Virginia Beach, Va.  Gibbs lives with his mother when he is not away at college. She is a fifth grade teacher.

Gibbs enjoys spending time with his long-time hometown friends and his family during his time away from school and soccer.

At Middleburg High School, Gibbs minded the net for the varsity all four years.  He made All -Conference his junior and senior year and was named Third Team All-County his senior year.  MHS finished second in the class 4-A state finals in 2005.

Aside from soccer, Gibbs lent his strong right leg to the MHS Broncos football team as the varsity team’s kicker.

At Brewton-Parker, Gibbs will major in business; he hopes to go on to a successful career as an entrepreneur.
