#18 Desirée Caton

Desirée Caton is from Palm Bay, Florida where she lives with her parents and her sister Shurell Burton.  Her family is originally from Trinidad but Desirée and Shurell were both born in Brooklyn, New York. 

Favorite family activities include, traveling back home to Trinidad, vacationing at time share resorts, and watching soccer matches and track and field.  Desirée also enjoys just hanging out with family and friends, playing board games, watching comedy videos and going shopping.

Desirée  attended West Shore Junior/Senior High School where she participated in track and field for three years receiving the most improved award in the ninth grade and the MVP Wildcat Award in the tenth grade.

She also helped her high school varsity soccer team win the District Championship three years in a row.   This year the team made it to regional semi-finals.

Desirée won the Most Improved award for her soccer team in the tenth grade and was varsity team captain of the 2006/2007 side.

Desirée also played for prominent club teams in Florida including Meg United, Indialantic Force and Space Coast United playing in major regional soccer tournaments to include Score at the Shore and the Disney Showcase.  This year she was an integral part of the success of Space Coast United as they won the Florida State Cup along with an automatic berth in the regional club championship tournament. 

At Brewton-Parker Desirée will major in Business.  She plans to go into hospitality and tourism management after she graduates.
