The business division offers several minors in the area of business. For each concentration (General Business, Management, Accounting, and Information Systems) students may receive a minor.
Business Administration Minor
18 hours from the Business division core, at least 6 at the 300/400 level.
Business minor in Management, Accounting, or Information Systems
18 hours total from the Business division; at least 9 hours from the specific concentration and at least 6 hours of those at the 300/400 level.
MINOR IN BUSINESS SPANISH
This minor involves six new Spanish courses that will be content specific to students wishing to minor in Business Spanish rather than simply Spanish. Realizing the contemporary practical nature of developing skills in the Spanish language specific to business application is a valuable skill set for business students to possess. However, the practicality of attaining such skills can be much more effectively realized and exponentially enhanced for students by developing them in conjunction with the content area of their major.
BUSINESS SPANISH MINOR
Courses required for minor (18 hours):
ML/SP 204 (3) Foundations of Spanish for Business I
ML/SP 205 (3) Foundations of Spanish for Business II
ML/SP 304 (3) Applications of Spanish for Business I
ML/SP 305 (3) Applications of Spanish for Business II
ML/SP 404 (3) Advanced Applications of Spanish for Business I
ML/SP 405 (3) Advanced Applications of Spanish for Business II
3 – 6 hours of credit earned by successfully completing an approved study abroad program or internship under the course number ML/SP 360 may be substituted in the place of one or two 300 or 400 level courses.
