Prayer
Our prayer team meets on a weekly basis to intercede
for the leadership team and ministries of the BSU and
for the faculty, staff, and students on our
campus. If you would like to be a part of our prayer team Michael Tallman.
Worship- "Across the Street"
BSU meets every Monday night at 9 pm
for worship through music, bible study, and other activities.
The title
Koinonia represents our heart for promoting fellowship
with the
Lord and building unity among His people. For more
information, contact Christi Castleberry or Ryan Mc Whorter.
Spiritual Growth
The great commission
is often left to evangelism but Jesus said Go
and make disciples. Spiritual Growth
is a major part of the Christian walk. Every living
thing grows. Through dorm Bible studies, men’s and women’s discipleship
groups and various other experiences, we want to help students grow in their
relationship with Christ. If you want to find out more about the various studies,
contact Ryan Drake.
Community Missions
Community missions focuses on outreach
to our community through providing students with opportunities
to serve in our local area. Some of the ongoing projects
we have are Adopt-a-Block, Nursing Home Ministries, and D-NOW’s. Contact:
Jamie Meador.
Campus Outreach
From Super Bowl parties to Coffee Houses
to D-NOW’s,
BSU host a variety of events on our campus in order to build a stronger
relationship with our
student body, share the love of Christ with them and help them deepen their
walk with the Lord. If you have any ideas or would like to help or be involved,
contact Joey Tomazin.
International
Although we are not a huge state university, each semester
students from around the world come to our campus. Our goal is to help
them feel at home and share
the love of Christ with them. Each semester international student are greeted
with a welcome package, invited to special dinners, and connected through
various other ministries. For more info, contact Steven Dresen.
Missions
In Mark 16:15 Jesus commands us “Go into all the
world.” This call is the heartbeat of our mission
development of students. Each year we sponsor at least
three trips: One over Christmas Break, and two over spring
break. We also join with the Collegiate Ministries Department
of the Georgia Baptist Convention to send out student missionaries
for the summer. Part of this experience is students’ involvement
in raising funds for the summer missions program. If your
heart is in missions, contact: Jamie Meador.
