Alternative Certification Program

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

General Information and Requirements

Brewton-Parker College is seeking qualified administrators and educators willing to observe and advise candidates during the required two-semester internship in a local school system. 

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR REQUIREMENTS

1. Possess a Master's degree or higher

2. Experience in areas of supervision (Early Childhood, Middle Grades, or Secondary)

3. Required training in the following areas:

a) BPC Assessment Instruments

(these are used for the evaluation of teacher candidates)

Teacher Candidate Planning Assessment

Teacher Candidate Performance Assessment

Teacher Candidate Dispositions Assessment

b) BPC Teaching Model

(to be used by teacher candidates for all lesson plans)

c) Lesson Plan Requirements

d) BPC Proficiency Outcomes

4. Experience with Teacher Observation Instruments

5. Vitae and Interview with the chair of BPC's Division of Education

DURATION OF PROGRAM

Typically, a clinical supervisor will visit a candidate during the internship up to five times over a one year period.

COMPENSATION

Clinical supervisors will earn $50.00 per visit.  In addition, clinical supervisors will be reimbursed at a rate of $.40 per mile for mileage.
