Financial Aid for External Program Students

Students participating in the External Program Division are subject to different Financial Aid packages than Mount Vernon students.  Financial Aid available to External Program students based on eligibility include:

                Pell Grant

                SEOG Grant

                ACG/SMART Grant

                HOPE

                Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG)

                External Program Grant

                Brewton Parker College Institutional Equalization Grant

                Georgia Baptist Membership Grant

                Lettie Pate Whitehead Grant

                Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans

                Parent PLUS loans

         Anouncing 3 new institutional scholarships for external students beginning Fall    

         2008!!!

                          External Trustee Scholarship (see details listed below)

                          External Presidential Scholarship (see details listed below)

                          External Founders Scholarship (see details listed below)

        NOTE:  If a student is eligible for any of these new scholarships, the student WILL 

                    NOT receive the External Grant unless the External Grant is more beneficial                    in itself to the student's award package.

External Program Grant

This grant is only available to students attending external sites.  Students must be attending the majority of their classes at one of the external sites and be classified as an external student by the College. External students do not receive BPC endowed scholarships as the College makes the External Grant available to students in this classification.

       

BPC Institutional Equalization Grant

This grant is only available to students attending External Program sites who are classified as external students.  The student must not be HOPE eligible and must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours).

        Federal grants, such as the Pell, SEOG, ACG/SMART, the  Georgia                    Baptist Membership Grant and the Lettie Pate Whitehead reduce  

        the amount of the External Grant and the BPC Institutional

        Equalization Grant.

 

BPC External Trustee Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students atttending external sites.  Requirements for this scholarship are:

  • 1090-2400SAT/24ACT
  • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA (checked at same points as HOPE)

           reverts to Presidential Scholarship if GPA falls below 3.0

  • Must be fulltime

BPC External Presidential Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students atttending external sites.  Requirements for this scholarship are:

  • 910-1089SAT/19 to 23ACT
  • Must be fulltime

BPC External Founders Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students atttending external sites.  Requirements for this scholarship are:

  • 860-909SAT/18ACT
  • Must be fulltime

 

Financial Aid for BBA Advantage (Cohort) Students

 

Due to  the special pricing of this program, no BPC Institutional grants or scholarships are provided.  Financial Aid available to these students based on eligibility include:

               Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant  (GTEG)

               Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans
