Faculty - Mathematics Professor

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
BPC seeks a qualified individual for a full-time, faculty position in Mathematics. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Academic: Candidates must possess an earned Masters in Mathematics, earned Ph.D. is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to teach courses in College Algebra, Statistics, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.  Additional responsibilities will include student advisement, service on departmental and college committees, and a commitment to the college’s role in the wider community. Faculty - Professor or Assistant Professor of History

POSITION DESCRIPTION
BPC seeks a qualified individual for a full-time, faculty position in History. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic: Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in History. The successful candidate will be required to teach survey courses in World History and upper level courses in areas of specialization.  Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach upper level courses in European and Non-Western History.  Additional responsibilities will include student advisement and service on departmental and college committees.

Admissions Counselor (Full-Time)

DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Admissions.  Person will be responsible for recruiting students to Brewton-Parker College.  Travel will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Should have a Bachelor’s degree.  Must possess excellent communication skills and basic computer knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in probe events in your assigned state (GA, FL, TN, AL, or  SC);
  • Make phone contact with prospects and applicants weekly;
  • Enter your prospects into the tracking system;
  • Assist in mail-outs to prospects and applicants;
  • Work on a rotating Saturday schedule;
  • Build relationships with high school counselors, civic organizations and churches for the purpose of recruiting;
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the Director of Admissions.

Assistant Wrestling Coach

Position:

Brewton-Parker College Assistant Wrestling Coach

 

General Job Description:

Brewton-Parker College is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Wrestling Coach. BPC is a faith based private institution competing at the NAIA level.

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, college wrestling experience, strong leadership skills, strong communication skills, and highly organized.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Assist the head coach in all facets of running a competitive successful NAIA collegiate wrestling program.

The responsibilities are including but not limited to the following:
Assist in all aspects of coaching wrestling, thorough knowledge of the sport, coaching strategies, and athlete development, running practices and organization.
Communicate effectively with students, faculty, administration, staff, and attend meetings.
Work within the framework of the Department of Athletics administration and coaches.     Successful recruitment, mentor, and development of student athletes who will best represent the mission of the College and the athletic department at Brewton-Parker College, additional assistance in all fundraising and marketing aspects of Brewton-Parker Wrestling will be required.

Compensation:

Full Time Employee: salary $15,000

Assistant Registrar

A full-time position working under the direction of the Registrar.  Manages/supervises other employees and/or assumes responsibility for planning, assigning and reviewing work of employees under supervision; regularly assists bona fide executive or administrative personnel, exercises discretion and independent judgment with authority to make important decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have good communication skills, be dependable and trustworthy.  Computer skills are essential.  Suitable candidates should possess and articulate a Christian world view. Associates degree required, Bachelor’s preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • prepare and maintain student records;
  • record and mail grades, transcripts, etc.;
  • prepare schedules, enrollment cards, student rosters, transcripts, letters, etc.;
  • assist in making reports and preparing for registration, including student guide sheets for advisors;
  • provide students with information about their personal records; and
  • report to and perform special assignments made by the Registrar.

HVAC/ Building Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

This is a full time position working under the general direction of the Director of Plant Operations. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a certified HVAC Technician
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team setting
  • Must be able to multi-task and perform other maintenance duties relative to grounds keeping and/or building maintenance as necessary
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work on special projects as assigned; and
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Plant Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of two (2) years experience in building maintenance; (2) years of HVAC repair and/or maintenance is preferred.  Preference will be given to licensed HVAC Technician.

Building Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

This is a full time position reporting to the director of Plant Operations and is responsible for performing a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.

Responsibilities & Duties

Working knowledge and workmanship is required in the following areas:

  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills required
  • Perform work on special projects as assigned;
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on facility equipment and grounds.
  • Ability and initiative to work under general supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

 

Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma/GED and 2-5 years of maintenance experience.  Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.  Preference will be given to applicants holding a valid Master Plumber and/or Electrical License.
