Circulation Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Brewton-Parker College, a Georgia Baptist College in Mount Vernon, Georgia, seeks qualified applicants for a Circulation Assistant I in the Library.  This position works under the direct supervision of the Director of the Library and is responsible for performing and maintaining statistical records of all circulation transactions; compiling and reporting patron use statistics; issuing over-due book notices and reporting delinquent accounts to the Registrar’s Office; keeping materials shelved and in proper order; filling all intra- and interlibrary loan requests; maintaining the library’s periodical collection; and supervising the student assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree with excellent communication skills and computer knowledge, as well as a moderate level of bookkeeping skills.  Special consideration will be given to candidates with previous library experience.
Personal: Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church and enthusiastically support the Mission, Vision, and Faith & Learning statements of the college. Their Christian worldview should be evident in their work and personal life.  Candidates who are active members of a Southern Baptist Church are preferred.

Assistant Professor of Mathematics

POSITION DESCRIPTION
BPC seeks a qualified individual for a full-time, faculty position in Mathematics. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic: Candidates must possess an earned Masters in Mathematics, earned Ph.D. is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to teach courses in College Algebra, Statistics, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.  Additional responsibilities will include student advisement, service on departmental and college committees, and a commitment to the college’s role in the wider community. HEAD MEN’S & WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK AND FIELD

 

Position Summary

                           

Brewton-Parker’s Athletic Department anticipates hiring a Head Coach to oversee its Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field programs for 2015-16.  The primary purpose of this position is the management of the Brewton-Parker College Cross Country and Track and Field program.  The responsibilities include recruiting student-athletes, teaching technical aspects of track and field events along with practice and game preparation, providing oversight to all administrative areas of the program, i.e. managing academic progress of student-athletes, budgeting, facility and weight room supervision, game and travel scheduling, etc. This position is a full-time twelve month position. Head Coach must operate within NAIA, SSAC, and BPC policies and rules.

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Preferred
  • 3-5 years of previous cross-country/track & field coaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Motor Vehicle License
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Knowledge of computer applications, fundraising, and financial management
  • Able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work well with men and women from diverse backgrounds
  • Must maintain ethical and professional relationship with students and student-athletes.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Preferred; preferable in a sports-related discipline.
