Adjunct Spanish Professor

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Adjunct Professor works under general direction of the Vice President for Academic Services. Adjunct faculty will support the mission and vision of Brewton-Parker College.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree with 18 hours in the field of teaching required, five years experience; five years of experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and subordinates
  • Excellent written and oral skills

Financial Aid Counselor

DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Financial Aid.  The individual will manage/supervise other employees and/or assume responsibility for planning, assigning and reviewing work of employees under supervision; regularly assists bona fide executive or administrative personnel, exercises discretion and independent judgment with authority to make important decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required, and a minimum of one-year financial aid work experience preferred.  Must possess excellent communication skills and basic computer knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Counsel students and parents regarding financial aid awards, eligibility, and processes;
  • Verify federal financial aid applications;
  • Assist with financial aid workshop presentations and in the management of program funds;
  • Perform verification of data and recalculation of financial aid needs;
  • Manage missing information communications;
  • Review student files to ensure compliance with federal, state and College regulations;
  • Manage private and corporate scholarship programs;
  • Determine students’ SAP eligibility; and
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the Director of Financial Aid.

Faculty - Mathematics Professor

BPC seeks a qualified individual for a full-time, faculty position in Mathematics. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Academic: Candidates must possess an earned Masters in Mathematics, earned Ph.D. is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to teach courses in College Algebra, Statistics, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.  Additional responsibilities will include student advisement, service on departmental and college committees, and a commitment to the college’s role in the wider community. Faculty - Computer Information Systems Professor

BPC seeks a qualified individual for a full-time, faculty position in Computer Information Systems. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic: Candidates must possess an earned 18 graduate hours in Information Systems. The successful candidate will be required to teach 27 hours per academic year. Additional responsibilities will include student advisement and service on departmental and college committees.

Academic: Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in History. The successful candidate will be required to teach survey courses in World History and upper level courses in areas of specialization.  Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach upper level courses in European and Non-Western History.  Additional responsibilities will include student advisement and service on departmental and college committees.

The Division of Christian Studies at Brewton-Parker College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Christian Studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in the area of Old Testament.  The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced courses in the Hebrew Bible, as well as courses in theology and ministry.
