A Bit About Myself
Here is a little information about who I am.

  • I am married with three kids.
  • I enjoy cycling (road/mountain), hiking, running, white-water rafting, computer animation, and digital video production.
  • I have a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
  • I am active in my church. I serve as a deacon and in the AWANA program. I periodically speak for various church events.
  • My favorite music is Contemporary Christian. (Third Day, REZ Band, Geoff Moore and the Distance, Michael Card)
  • My favorite quote is attributed to French Mathematician and philosopher Blaise Pascal.
    Pascal’s Wager: Even though the existence of God cannot be determined through reason, a person should "wager" as though God exists, because so living has potentially everything to gain, and certainly nothing to lose. (BTW, I think his can be "diiscovered through reason just not proven. That requires faith.)

Work Experience
Dr. Chris Jones teaches a variety of chemistry courses including chemistry for non-science majors, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and analytical chemistry. His classes are filled with Powerpoint presentations, animations and videos, small group disccussions, and chemistry demonstrations. Each course has been enhanced through the addition of web materials. Also, required for each class is a "hands-on" project where students take their knowledge of chemistry into the community.
