The Division
of Mathematics and Natural Sciences would like to welcome you to the division's
web site. Here, you can find information about our programs of study, our faculty,
and even find out current weather conditions.
Why Choose BPC for Math and Science
The strength of a Division’s academic programs is not indicated by the number of majors but by the types of employment the Division’s graduates obtain and if the Division’s graduates are accepted into the professional programs of their choice. Showing that our new programs are allowing our students to obtain their career goals is important. The B.S. in Biology, which was created in 2001, has already been successful. After completing the requirements for this degree, graduates have gone to graduate school, pharmacy school, and physical therapy school. In fact, Brewton-Parker staff, students and faculty will likely see one of our 2005 graduates who is currently a physician assistant at the health clinic on campus. Still other students from the Division have become mathematics or science teachers. Two Division students were able to enter pharmacy school after completing two years in our program.
At BPC, you can get your B. S. in
Biology to prepare yourself for a Pre-Med, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Dentistry, or
Pre-Physical Therapy, graduate or medical programs.
