Degree Programs

The Division of Music of Brewton-Parker College offers four degree programs: Bachelor of Music with a major in Music Education, Bachelor of Music with a major in Performance, Bachelor of Music with a major in Church Music and the Bachelor of Arts in Music. The Division of Music provides a curriculum that serves the students' needs in a Christian setting in both the classroom and in private study. It is the intention of the music unit to provide an environment conducive to inspiring the student to further growth in musical knowledge and values, and in preparation for further pursuits in music.

The Division of Music offers the musically gifted and industrious students the opportunity for excellent musical training and performance. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, the Division of Music boasts a diversified, well trained, experienced faculty able to guide students in their chosen field of study.

The environment of the Division of Music is small enough to provide individualized instruction, yet comprehensive enough to afford music experiences in performance of major works.

In addition to faculty, ensemble, and student performances, the Dennis and Quinelle Sikes Fine Arts Series brings a number of nationally and internationally known artists to the campus each year.

Ninety percent of all students who attend Brewton-Parker College benefit from a variety of Financial Aid programs. One of these tools is a Music Scholarship that is available to both students who desire to major in music or to those students who want to participate in a music ensemble and major in another field. These Scholarships are awarded resulting from an audition. For more information about Music Scholarship auditions, contact the Division of Music at 1-800-342-1087 or music@bpc.edu.
