BPC Participates in Vidalia Onion Run

MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College students, faculty and staff participated in the Vidalia Onion Run/Walk on Saturday, April 28 during the Vidalia Onion Festival. Several members from BPC placed in their age category.
Ashlee Phillips, a sophomore Christian studies major, placed first in her age group, women 15-19 in the 5K run. Marla Hollis, a junior Spanish major, placed first in her age group, women 20-24. Also in the women’s group was Kiah Dossey, a sophomore middle grades education major, who placed third in her age group, women 20-24.

In the men’s 5k run, Caleb Snyder, BPC Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach, placed third in his age group, men 20-24.
In the women’s 10K run, Madison Henline, sophomore biology major, placed overall winner for the female category. Also in the women’s group was Nicolasa Torres, a sophomore Christian Studies major, who placed third in her age group, women 20-24.

In the men’s 10k run, Joshua Hughes, a freshman biology major, placed first in his age group, men 15-19.
Circle K, a student service organization associated with Vidalia Kiwanis club, helped coordinate BPC’s participation by promoting the event on campus and signing students, faculty and staff up for the run/walk.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
