MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College students, alumni, faculty, and members of the Mount Vernon/Ailey community participated in a blood drive sponsored by BPC’s Student Government Association Sept. 13 on the Mount Vernon campus. This was not only a chance for the Mount Vernon/Ailey community to participate in an altruistic cause, but it also helped the college to exceed their goal of 28 units of blood. As of the end of the day on Thursday, 32 units of blood were donated. Assistant to the Dean of Students Jessica Broughton stated that she “was very proud and appreciated the great turnout on the students’ behalf and also wanted to thank the Mount Vernon community for their generosity.”
