Dr. Dickens performed works of J.S. Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, and Louise Talma.
“The recital serves as a wonderful example for our students and inspiration for all of us who serve as Dr. Dickens’s colleagues,” says Dr. Glenn Eernisse, associate professor of music and chair of BPC’s Music Division.
Dr. Dickens became part of Brewton-Parker’s faculty in 1984. After leaving to pursue his doctoral degree in 1993, Dr. Dickens returned to and has remained at BPC since 1996.
Dr. Glen Eernisse also reminds the college and community to make plans to attend the concert featuring the Jubal Chorus Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Saliba Chapel. The Music Division will also host a student recital Friday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. in Gilder Hall. Both events are free and open to the public. More information about the college’s performance schedule and the Jubal Chorus concert can be found on Brewton-Parker’s website, www.bpc.edu.
