MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s Fall Preview Day was attended by more than 140 prospective students and their parents Saturday, Nov. 11. The all day event was a success, according to BPC Director of Admissions, Bryan Sage.
“It went excellent,” Sage said. “It was our biggest Preview Day ever – both in number of people who R.s.v.p.’d and in terms of actual attendance. We received 10 applications that day, and over half who came had already applied to the school. Everyone was extremely happy with the day.”
Sage said the campus tours and the new athletic mascot were listed as “favorites” among those who attended Saturday.
“Everyone loved the new mascot,” said Sage. “One prospective student said she thought the new mascot was ‘cool’ and ‘it made (her) even more anxious to become a Lady Baron’.”
In addition to separate student and parent forums and complimentary lunch in the campus’ residential restaurant, the attendees were entertained by the college’s Baron Singers and drama team, “Glimpses of Truth”.
The next Preview Day will be held Feb. 10. To make reservations to attend this event, call the Office of Admissions at (912) 583-3265. BPC’s admission is “rolling”, meaning there are no set deadlines for applications. Prospective students may now apply online at www.bpc.edu.
