MOUNT VERNON—Sixteen Brewton-Parker College music students performed during the Division of Music’s “A Student Recital” Dec. 1 in Gilder Recital Hall on the Mount Vernon campus.
Students performing in order of appearance were as follows:
Freshman Raymond Collins, baritone, sang “Blow High, Blow Low” by Charles Dibdin. Collins is a student of Prof. Ben Caston.
Freshman Robert Hilton, pianist, performed “Prelude No. II in C minor, BWV 847” by J.S. Bach. Hilton is a student of Prof. Pierce Dickens.
Freshman Cindy Rollins, soprano, sang the aria “Voi che sapete” from “Le nozze di Figaro” by W.A. Mozart. She is a student of Prof. Stephanie Fort.
Freshman Matthew Pittman performed “Adagio” from “Sonata XII” by G.F. Handel on the alto saxophone. Pittman is a student of Prof. Armenio Suzano.
Freshman Steven Hopper, bass, sang “Why So Pale and Wan?” by Thomas Arme. Hopper is a student of Prof. Caston.
Freshman Adrianne Fox, mezzo-soprano, sang “Ah, May the Red Rose Live Always” by Stephan Foster. She is a student of Prof. Fort.
Freshman Brittney Black, pianist, performed “Invention No. 8 in F Major, BWV 779” by J.S. Bach. She is a student of Prof. Dickens.
Sophomore Jacob Martens, baritone, sang “Pur dicesti, o bocca bella” by Antonio Lotti. He is a student of Prof. Caston.
Junior Matt Barlow, baritone, sang “O Mistress Mine” by Roger Quilter. He is as student of Prof. Caston.
Freshman Mandy Madson, soprano, sang “Se tu m’ami” by Alessandro Parisotti. Madson is a student of Prof. Fort.
Junior Katelyn Pierce, soprano, sang “Fleurs” from “Fiancailles pour rire” by Francis Poulenc. She is a student of Prof. Fort.
Sophomore Dustin Simmons, tenor, sang “Weep You No More” by Roger Quilter. He is a student of Prof. Fort.
Freshman Holly Randle, soprano, sang “La Pastorella” by Franz Schubert. She is a student of Prof. Fort.
Senior Andrea Gaston performed “Chant Sans Paroles” by Peter Tchaikovsky on the oboe. She is a student of Prof. Suzano.
Junior Doug Pittman, tenor, sang the aria “Se il tuo duol” by W.A. Mozart. Pittman is a student of Prof. Caston.
Junior Jamie Saxton performed “Allegro non troppo, Andante, Allegro vivo” from “Solo De Concours” by A. Messager on the clarinet. She is a student of Prof. Suzano.
