Pittman performs in Junior Voice Recital

| MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College junior Douglas “Doug” Freeman Pittman, a tenor, performed in a Junior Voice Recital Friday, April 13 in Gilder Recital Hall on the Mount Vernon campus. He was accompanied by Cathy Rogers on the piano. Pittman’s program included, but was not limited to, several pieces from Handel’s Messiah, an aria from Mozart’s Idomeneo and concluded with three pieces by Ned Rorem (b. 1923): “For Susan”, “Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair” and “Far-Far-Away”. The recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the bachelor of music degree with a major in performance and a primary concentration in voice.
