BPC student receives Mount Vernon Bank Writing Fellowship

Mount Vernon Bank Writing Fellowship
MOUNT VERNON – Emily Oliver, a junior at Brewton-Parker College from Lilburn, received the Mount Vernon Bank Writing Fellowship Award during the Honors Day ceremony April 17 in Saliba Chapel on the Mount Vernon campus. Shown presenting her the award is Alan Thigpen, left, of the Mount Vernon Bank, while Dr. Ron Melton, provost, and Dr. Vicki Hill, assistant professor of English, look on. Oliver also was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar for qualifying for the Dean's List at least five times out of the last seven semesters.
