MOUNT VERNON—The new Hildegard Stanley Music Center opened its doors to the first day of classes on Brewton-Parker College’s Mount Vernon campus Monday, Aug. 27. The $1.1 million music center’s construction was completed over the summer. Shown are students in the new Music Technology Lab learning piano, taught by instructor Ralph Cooper, in background. The music center is an extension of the Miller Music Building on the college’s main campus. In addition to the new music technology lab, the new music center provides much-needed practice and classroom space, faculty offices and a large instrumental rehearsal hall. To learn more about the new music center, named for former, long-time Music Chair Hildegard Stanley, contact the Division of Music at 912-583-3136. Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
