MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s baseball team sponsored a blood drive on the Mount Vernon campus Nov. 15. According to head coach Hayne Brant, there was a great turnout because the goal of 30 pints of donated blood was surpassed. BPC gave 39 pints to the American Red Cross.
Students, faculty and staff came together to give back to those in need. Brant was thrilled to see the baseball players so involved with the blood drive.
“I appreciate our baseball players working so hard to get people to sign up to give blood,” said Brant. “It means a lot to see that our guys care so much about others’ lives. In fact, many of the baseball players gave blood as well.”
The baseball team would like to thank all those who came out to give blood.
