MOUNT VERNON—At Brewton Parker College’s chapel service on Tuesday, Feb. 13, LifeWay Christian Resources president, Dr. Jimmy Draper, spoke to students, faculty, and staff about what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
Dr. Draper shared that disciples of Christ have a calling from God, have a personal relationship with Christ, are under God’s authority, are becoming “like the master”, and are willing to sacrifice for Christ.
As well as authoring several books, Dr. Draper serves as a trustee of California Baptist University. He is recognized for organizing the Kenyan Coast Crusade in 1990, during which more than 60,000 professions of faith were made. Dr. Draper currently resides in Texas with his wife, Carol.
