BPC offers key support at Douglas ‘Rick & Bubba’ book signing

MOUNT VERNON – Brewton-Parker College representatives provided key support to a book signing event for the newest book by New York Times best-selling authors and zany radio hosts Rick Burgess and Bill “Bubba” Bussey. College representatives sold more than 200 copies of The Rick and Bubba Code at the signing, held at Covenant Christian Church in Douglas June 16.

Radio personalities “Rick” and “Bubba” shared a testimonial about their Christian faith before opening the floor up to meet and greet individuals and sign copies of The Code. Burgess and Bussey host the daily morning radio show, “The Rick & Bubba Show”, which is nationally syndicated and heard in 24 markets and seven states throughout the Southeast. Millions of “Rick & Bubba Show” fans tune in daily to hear these “hilarious hosts who are bold in their Christian faith.”
BPC Director of Alumni Relations Shannon Bull greeted several BPC alumni at the event and Admissions Counselor Carrie Myles spoke with many attendees about the college and its fall course offerings.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in South Georgia. Affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention, the college offers 37 majors and 23 minors of study in a caring, Christian environment that nurtures the whole student.
A limited quantity of signed copies of The Rick and Bubba Code is available for purchase at the Campus Store on the Mount Vernon campus. Those attending the event, in addition to Bull and Myles, were Campus Store Director Lynn Addison, Director of Marketing Taylor Hereford, Director of News and Public Information Kelley Arnold, Reference Librarian and alumnus Barry Bull, BPC student and campus store staff member Jeffrey Jackson, campus store staff member and alumna Jessica Broughton and BPC student and communications intern Greg Coursey.
