Vidalia Onion Run applications available to BPC faculty, staff, students
Applications for the 30th annual Vidalia Onion Run are now available through Brewton-Parker College’s Circle K Club to BPC faculty, staff, and students. The run, sponsored in part by the Vidalia Kiwanis Club, is a sanctioned event of the Vidalia Onion Festival. It will take place Saturday morning, April 28, beginning in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Runners and walkers may choose to participate in the one-mile fun run (7:30 a.m. start time), 5K (7:45 a.m. start time), and/or 10K (8:15 a.m. start time) race. A special pre-registration entry fee for BPC faculty, staff, and students (with valid BPC ID) is $7 per person for one race or $15 for two or more races. Deadline to pre-register is April 18. After the deadline, all race day entry fees are $20 for one race and $35 for two or more races.
Awards will be given in the following categories: fun run – male and female overall, and first, second and third placement in three age categories (0-19 years); 5K and 10K – first, second, and third place male and female overall and in all age divisions. $3,500 in cash prizes is available.
