Paul Taylor, the 'Priest' |
Paul Taylor as the ‘Priest’
Name: Paul Taylor
Year in college: Freshman
Major: Christian Studies
Hometown: Waycross
Plans for future/career: “I plan to be in the ministry. I want to go to seminary.”
Dream job: Same as before – become a pastor – “Wherever He leads, I’ll go.”
Organizations/Activities: Spring musical, SGA, BCM, work part-time in maintenance, play guitar at Glenwood Baptist
Favorite leisure activities: “I have no free time. Just kidding. I like to draw, design, and relax, watch some TV every once in a while. I play guitar, too – not the best, but it’s fun.”
Previous Theater experience: South Pacific (high school), Annie Get Your Gun (high school), drama at First Baptist Church of Waycross
Taylor plays the role of the priest in the musical; he serves as “God’s messenger” to keep Dr. Carrasco and Antonia (Quixote’s niece) together. The priest, according to Taylor, sometimes plays the devil’s advocate to persuade Carrasco to do whatever it takes to keep the relationship going.
“It’s a small part, but it’s fun. I get to have a few songs in the play.”
The biggest challenge for Taylor is getting into character, and “putting a little more ‘umph’ into it.”

Erin Bower, “Paco” |
Erin Bower as ‘Paco’ (A Muleteer)
Name: Erin Bower
Year in college: Senior
Major: Early Childhood Education
Hometown: Waycross
Plans for future/career: Get training in English Language Learners somewhere; teach 5th grade English or Elementary English Language Learners
Dream job: Writer of a published Christian book/novel
Organizations/Activities: BCM
Favorite leisure activities: Reading, running, singing, playing on the computer, hanging out with friends
Previous Theater experience: Into the Woods (Spring 2005), Lyric Theater (2004)
Bower plays the role of Paco, the smallest of the Muleteers. In describing her character, Bower says Paco is “selfish and fun-loving. He does not like being the small one. His goal is to make fun of Aldonza in hopes of getting some attention from her.”
Bower’s biggest challenge is playing a male role, but that is also her favorite aspect.
