BPC to host Montgomery County Career Expo

MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College may just be the ticket to finding a new job or career change this May. The private, Christian college in Mount Vernon will host the Montgomery County Career Expo Thursday, May 24. Employers in and around Toombs and Montgomery counties will be attending the event looking for applicants to a bevy of jobs and careers.
Information about GED preparation, WIA Services, Medicaid, One-Stop Center, Unemployment and services through the Department of Labor will also be available at the expo, with representatives from corresponding agencies available to answer questions about their services.
The expo will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in BPC’s Gillis Gymnasium located in the Bartow and Jean Snooks Student Activities Center. It is free and open to the public.
Event sponsors include Brewton-Parker College, Toombs-Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, Safe Schools and Healthy Students Tri-County, Montgomery County Department of Children and Family Services, Georgia Department of Labor, Heart of Georgia RESA, Heart of Georgia RDC, WIA/Job Training Unlimited, Inc., and Collaborative Partners.
