MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College students enjoyed a night of fright on Oct. 19 at the Pal Theatre of Vidalia for the first annual Fright Film Fest.
Many students and faculty made an appearance dressed in their favorite scary – and funny – costume and participated in a scary song sing-a-long, costume contest, trivia, and viewed two classic films, The Bride of Frankenstein and The House on Haunted Hill. The 1st Annual Fright Film Fest was sponsored by the BPC Film Society and is a new collaboration between the BPC society and the Pal Theatre.
“We had close to 50 people in attendance, with about 45 of those from Brewton-Parker College,” said BPC film studies interim professor Gareth Jones. “Overall, I think it was a success with the hope of future collaborations with the Pal Theatre.”
