Baron Basketball season tickets on sale

MOUNT VERNON – Season tickets for the 2007-08 edition of Brewton-Parker College basketball are currently on sale according to Steve Barker, BPC athletic director.

“The Barons are excited about the up and coming season. We want you to have a major role in our success,” said Barker. “In just four years of playing in Gillis Gymnasium of the Snooks Student Activities Center, the BPC basketball teams have enjoyed considerable home court success.”

Fans may purchase the $75 “Baron Booster Package”, which includes season tickets for one person to all 27 home contests for the Barons and Lady Barons. The package also includes “choice, comfortable seating behind the scorer’s table and access to the Hall of Fame hospitality room,” Barker said. In addition, those purchasing season tickets will receive a nice gift and will have their names listed in game programs. Additional packages can be purchased for $50 per person.

Both the Barons and Lady Barons will open their seasons Nov. 2-3 in the annual BPC/Days Inn Tip-Off Classic. The two-day classic begins a season in which the Lady Barons will host 15 opponents and the Barons will have 15 home dates, with each playing nine foes in the Southern States Athletic Conference. All home games will be played in Gillis Gymnasium inside the Bartow and Jean Snooks Student Activities Center.
