MOUNT VERNON— Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 2 was an inspirational time of worship for Brewton-Parker College students. Students especially enjoyed worship led by the Brewton-Parker Baptist Collegiate Ministries band with songs such as “Center” and “Revelation Song.”
The speaker for this week, Dr. Mac Hannah, shared a message from Psalm 34: 8-10. He entitled his message, “Taste and see the Lord is good.” He stressed to the students that he felt everyone should discover, rediscover or “taste” a relationship with God. He advised the students that worship should have a key role in an intimate relationship with God. While some believe that worship should always involve a church and hymns, Dr. Hannah stated otherwise.
He closed by telling students, “worship is anytime I experience who God is.”
Dr. Hannah is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Dunwoody.
