BPC women’s volleyball splits first four matches of season

MOUNT VERNON – Brewton-Parker College freshman Brittany Byrd (#3) prepares to set the ball for senior Callie Bynum (#10) during BPC women’s volleyball team’s 3-0 home loss to NCAA Division II Albany State University Sept. 6.  The Barons have split the first four matches of the season – defeating Paine College, 3-0, Aug. 31 and Division II Claflin College, 3-1, Sept. 8.  The team’s other loss was also against a Division II opponent, Valdosta State University, 3-0 on Aug. 24.  BPC completed a four game home stand this week against Division II Fort Valley State University on Tuesday and conference foe Shorter College Thursday.  The next home match for the women’s volleyball team will be Monday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. against Faulkner University.
