The Jeremiah People to perform at BPC in October

MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College will host The Jeremiah People, a seven-member ministry-through-performance drama group from California, Tuesday, Oct. 16 for two special theatrical performances on the Mount Vernon campus. Both performances are open to the public and will be held in Saliba Chapel.
The first performance will be held during the college’s morning chapel service at 11 a.m. The second of the day will be held later in the evening at 7 p.m. and local school and community groups will be invited.
The Jeremiah People annually tours the United States for 10 months performing Broadway-style, full-length musical comedy portraying moral and family issues in an entertaining, enlightening fashion. The troupe will perform a full-length musical,“Family Snaps”, written by Paul McCusker during the one-and-a-half hour evening performance. The shorter morning performance will include sketches of “Family Snaps”. The Jeremiah People will perform this musical around the country during 2007-2008 in churches, theatres, and auditoriums in nearly 45 states.
According to the troupe’s website, “The Jeremiah People have wowed audiences for nearly 30 years with their unique style of music, laughter and drama. In their years of ministry service they have brought hard-hitting gospel presentations to millions, healing to families, inspiration to youth, and loving hearts to elderly.”
