Fall Convocation kick-starts fall semester 2007 at BPC

MOUNT VERNON—Dr. David R. Smith, president of Brewton-Parker College, welcomed students, faculty and staff back to the Mount Vernon campus Sept. 4 for an “exciting academic year” during the annual Fall Convocation chapel service, held in Saliba Chapel. The prestigious service symbolizes the official start of the fall 2007 semester. Student flag bearers and the flags they carried during the ceremony are as follows: Brewton-Parker College – William Jackson; Division of Arts & Letters– Carly Colombero; Division of Business – Jenna Kessenich; Division of Education – Alex Panico; External Programs – Bethany New; Library – Samuel Tomblin; Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – Carlos Ortiz; Division of Music – Brejoya Perry; Division of Religion and Philosophy – Steven Dressen; and, Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences – Josh Davis.
