MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College students, faculty and administration were invited to don their best medieval attire last week and attend a BPC tradition – the Medieval Dinner.

The Division of Arts & Letters, along with the Division’s honor society, hosted the Medieval Dinner Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Briscoe Center. The feast, prepared by ARAMARK and the BPC English faculty, consisted of yams, roast beef, cabbage, baked bread, cake, salad and a spicy, cinnamon and apple flavored beverage known commonly in the Medieval period as “wassail.”
BPC Senior Lisa Vincent, accompanying by Dr. Harry Bayne, provided musical entertainment for the evening by leading the attendees in Christmas carols, such as “Here We Come A-Wassailing,” “Away in the Manger,” and “Good King Wenceslas”.
Professor George Mosley recited the story Christ’s birth in Old English.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
