Dr. Page encouraged BPC students to ‘fight their giants’

MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College students welcomed special guest speaker, Dr. Frank S. Page, president of the Southern Baptist Convention, to Chapel Feb. 5 in the Gillis Gym on the Mount Vernon campus.

Dr. Page is pastor of the First Baptist Church of Taylors (S.C.) and was recently named one of the Fifty Most Influential Christians in America by the Church Report. He spoke to the students about defeating “giants” in their lives, whether those giants are sin, school work, or other pressures.
Worship through music was led by BPC students Matthew Barlow, Matthew Pittman, Doug Pittman, Eli Elliot and Carey Wilson.
