Spring Semester 2008 begins at BPC

MOUNT VERNON—Students returned to Brewton-Parker College’s Mount Vernon campus this week, with classes resuming for the start of the 2008 Spring Semester Monday, Jan. 14. Classes at its Liberty County campus and its other external sites also began Monday. The Mount Vernon campus will celebrate its return to the 2007-2008 academic year with a special chapel service, Heritage Chapel, Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 11 a.m. in the Gillis Gym. Classes will not meet Monday, Jan. 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. Students are shown waiting in line at the Campus Store to purchase their books for the spring semester. Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. Based in Mount Vernon, the college also offers classes at its Liberty County campus and external centers in Baxley, Glennville, Newnan, Norman Park and Savannah. (Photo by Ashley Byrd) |
