MOUNT VERNON—Eight Brewton-Parker College students performed in a March 7 Student Recital held in Gilder Recital Hall on the Mount Vernon campus.

             

The students and their pieces are as follows:

             

Soprano Sarah Ring, a freshman in the studio of Prof. Stephanie Fort, performed “The Green Dog” by Herbert Kinglsey. She is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in Christianity.

             

Baritone Brett Boggus, a freshman in the studio of Prof. Fort, performed “Star Vicino”. He is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in church music.

           

Pianist Jamie Tucker, a freshman in the studio of Dr. Pierce Dickens, performed “Moments Musicaux, Op. 94, No. 6” by Franz Schubert. She is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in education.

             

Tenor Monroe Bennett, a sophomore in the studio of Dr. Ben Caston, performed “Dein Angesicht” by Robert Schuman. He is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in church music.

             

Alto saxophonist Matthew Pittman, a sophomore in the studio of Dr. Armenio Suzano, performed “Aria” by Eugene Bozza. He is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in music.

             

Mezzo-soprano Amanda Cann, a sophomore in the studio of Prof. Fort, performed “The Lamb” by Theodore Chanler. She is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in church music.

             

Pianist Jared Register, a senior in the studio of Dr. Dickens, performed “Intermezzo, Op. 118, No. 2” by Johannes Brahms. He is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in music education.

             

Trombonist Albert Bussey was a late addition to the program. He is a freshman in the studio of Dr. Suzano.

             

BPC Music Division staff member, Brandon Herrington, accompanied students, with the exception of Register and Tuckert, on the piano.
