BPC students showcased their musical talent while performing acts ranging from serious and beautiful musical performances to comedic routines. And, speaking of comedic relief, the host for the evening’s festivities, Kolby DePratter, provided the audience with many laughs.
Many talented individuals performed, however, only a select few made it past the judges, who included Dr. Cindy Skaruppa (vice president for enrollment services), Dr. David Moffett (chair of the Division of Education) and Tonia Spaulding (director of counseling services). Those who made it to the second round got a chance to perform a longer piece of music in order to claim the coveted “Baron Idol” title.
At the end of the second round, each audience member was given the chance to vote on their favorite performer. Winners of Baron Idol were as follows: first place – junior Ryan McWhorter; second place – senior Callie Bynum; third place – freshman Sarah Ring.
BPC Homecoming Week celebration was held from Feb. 25 through March 1 on the Mount Vernon campus.
