MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s annual Christmas Celebration presented by the Division of Music will again feature Trejèito. This quartet of BPC ladies and its band, under the direction of Dr. Glenn Eernisse, chair of the division, will perform Friday, Dec. 5 at Vidalia’s historic PAL Theatre in two back-to-back performances based on special demand. The first show is at 6:30 p.m.; the second is at 8 p.m.
Trejèito replaces the popular Baron Singers, a mixed voice group, with a quartet of women including returning singers Amanda Madson, Joy Dawson, Amanda Cann and new addition, Carmen Turner. It was first formed in 2007 and has been enthusiastically received both on and off campus.
“Following in the tradition of the Baron Singers, this group has its own band and is planning a high-energy performance featuring a variety of Christmas music,” said Dr. Eernisse. “This is a wonderful opportunity to attend a light holiday concert the entire family will enjoy!”
Admission is free.
Trejèito’s band is comprised of Dr. Armenio Suzano, Matthew Pittman, Albert Bussey, Eli Elliot, Josh Lane, Michael Loredo, Elijah Cliett, Brandon Herrington and Brian Summerlin. Their sound technician is Doug Pittman.
