BPC Student Recital features four seniors, one junior

MOUNT VERNON—The Brewton-Parker College Division of Music hosted a Student Recital Friday, Oct. 3 in Gilder Hall. This week's performance featured the following:
- Sophomore pianist Jamie Tucker who performed "Invention No. 8," composed by J.S. Bach.
- Senior baritone Carey Wilson then sang "Whither Must I Wander." This song comes from a compilation of work known as "Songs of Travel" and was composed by R. Vaughan Williams.
- A flute piece by senior Elizabeth Nichols known as "Soir dans les Montagnes," written by Eugene Bozza.
- Senior Douglas Pittman performed a piece for tenor voice from a large work known as “Cosifon Tutte”, written by W.A. Mozart. Pittman chose the piece "Un'aura amorosa."
- Senior, Jamie Sexton concluded the program with "Sonata for Clarinet and Piano."
The next student recital will be held Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. in Gilder Recital Hall. The public is invited to attend this free event.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
