MOUNT VERNON—Along with the help of the science division of Heart of Georgia Technical College, Brewton-Parker College’s Mathematics and Natural Sciences Division hosted a Rocket Blast-off Saturday, Oct. 4. This clinic was open to the community and many elementary school-aged children from surrounding counties showed up for a day of fun and learning.

Brewton-Parker science students helped a group of children construct their rockets and then all prepared for the exciting blast-off on the Baron Soccer Field. Along with the help of BPC professors, Dr. Jon Shuman, Dr. David McMillin and Dr. Christopher Jones, BPC science students also participated in the blast-off with larger versions of rockets.
Be sure to visit the Brewton-Parker Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences website to learn about upcoming, educational, and fun events.
