BPC to host annual Rocket Blast Off Oct. 4
MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences will host the annual Rocket Blast Off Saturday, Oct. 4 on the Mount Vernon campus.
All fourth through sixth grade students are invited to participate in this hands-on rocket activity with safe and fun materials. Each student will build their own rocket and launch it with the help of certified teachers. The event begins at 9 a.m. in the Morgan-Moses Math/Natural Science Center. Rockets will be launched at 11:30 a.m. The public is invited to watch the launches.
All students must be registered before the date of the event. Space is limited. Cost is $8 per student, which covers materials.
