MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College hosted its annual “meet and greet” Back to School Bash Sept. 4 in Gillis Gym on the Mount Vernon campus. This fall semester tradition involves many local churches meeting with new and returning students, and in turn, the local churches promote their ministries and invite students to join their activities and worship with their congregation on Sunday mornings.
ARAMARK provided dinner in the gymnasium and afterward several local churches, including First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon, Glenwood Baptist Church, Lyons First Baptist, and Alston Baptist Church, provided dessert and other goodies for students to enjoy and also invited the students to worship with their congregation on Sunday mornings.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
