Faculty-Staff Banquet honors new BPC employees

MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s annual Faculty-Staff Banquet, held Tuesday, August 21, welcomed new BPC employees to the college family. The banquet also gives employees the chance to mingle and catch up with each other since the close of the previous academic year in May. This event also heralded the beginning of the 2008-2009 Academic Year.

Door prizes were donated by the following area businesses: Attic Treasures, Bill’s Donuts, Caboose Grille, Captain’s Corner, Cedar River Seafood, Chatter’s Restaurant, Fuzzy’s, J & B’s Steak House, Lowe’s, Mt. Vernon Drug, Gift & Flower Shop, Pizza Inn, Poppy’s, Radford Cleaners, Subway, The Browsing Place, Webster Motor Company and Zaxby’s.

Special thanks to ARAMARK, who provided the meal, and the gracious service of Carrie Myles, BPC Residence Life Director, and her staff of student RAs and RDs, who served the meal much to the delight and appreciation of the college employees. Attendees were also able to sample some of the Starbucks Coffee offerings in the college’s new coffee shop inside the Phillips Student Center.
