The Brewton-Parker College baseball team is proud to announce the signing of Pierce County slugger Jacob Evors for the 2010 baseball season.
A 2007 graduate of Pierce County High School, Jacob has spent the past two seasons playing for head coach Steve Janousek at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. The power hitting first baseman is currently hitting .302 for the Stallions and leading the team in four offensive categories: hits (54), homeruns (15), RBI (53), and total bases (104). He is second on the team with a .581 slugging percentage.
Brewton-Parker head baseball coach Greg Mullins is confident that Evors will be able to contribute right away.
“Jacob’s bat brings an immediate power threat to our lineup, and we are very excited about him playing for us next season,” said Mullins. “We look forward to Jacob having continued success here at Brewton-Parker.”
Jacob added that he is “excited for next season,” and “can’t wait to play for Coach Mullins.”
Jacob, the son of Darrell and Amy Evors, has decided to major in education at Brewton-Parker.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four year Christian college in south Georgia.
