Spring Festival April 18 at Historic Village on BPC campus
Special to the Archway
Ever wish you lived in a more innocent, peaceful era? Take a break from 21st century stress and travel back to 19th century rural Georgia on Saturday, April 18, at the second-annual Spring Festival at the Historic Village at Brewton-Parker College.
The free festival promises plenty of fun and hands-on activities for young and old. Churn butter, beat biscuits, make cornhusk dolls, enjoy toe-tapping old-time music, and say “how-do” to friendly goats and mules. The village will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Located behind Jones Lake on the Mount Vernon campus, off Highway 280.
Call Dr. Mary Waalkes, 912-583-3110, or Anice McArthur, 912-583-2517, for more information.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
