Brewton-Parker College’s Division of Music hosted a Student Recital Feb. 13 in Gilder Recital Hall.

Among the participants were sophomore Clint Oliver, sophomore Erica Miller, sophomore Brett Boggus, sophomore Monroe Bennett, senior Jared Register, and junior Steven Hopper. Oliver, a baritone Church Music major, performed a Robert Schumann piece entitled “Hör’ ich das Liedchen klingen.” Miller, a Music Education major, followed with oboe selections entitled “Adagio” and “Vivace.” Both pieces were composed by G.P. Telemann.


Also majoring in Church Music is baritone Boggus and tenor Bennett. Boggus sang “Intermezzo,” part of Opus 39 composed by Robert Schumann. Bennett performed Gabriel Faure’s “Adieu.” Register and Hopper, both Music Education majors, concluded the program. Register shared his talent for the piano while performing “Prelude and Fugue XI,” composed by J.S. Bach. Hopper, a baritone, sang “Sleep,” a work by Ivor Gurney.


Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
