MOUNT VERNON—Presidents from Brewton-Parker College and Andrew College signed an articulation agreement Wednesday, April 7 that will allow graduates of Andrew College, a two-year residential private school in Cuthbert, Ga., to complete a four-year degree program through Brewton-Parker College.
BPC, a four-year Christian college with locations in Mount Vernon and Newnan, will be offering baccalaureate degree completion programs to Andrew’s students, in a way that is convenient for them, at Andrew College, Brewton-Parker College or interactive online courses.

“When two Christian institutions can partner together, it is a win win situation for everyone. We are delighted today to announce a partnership between our institutions to provide Christian higher education at a baccalaureate level to students at Andrew College,” said Dr. David R. Smith, president of Brewton-Parker College.
The historic signing was held in the Fountain-New Library on Brewton-Parker’s Mount Vernon campus. This is the first time BPC has entered into an agreement with Andrew College, but not the first time it has articulated with another higher education institution. BPC holds articulation agreements with Savannah Tech, Georgia Military College and Griffin Tech.
This three-year agreement between Andrew and Brewton-Parker will officially begin during the summer semester. Maymester begins May 17 at BPC.
Much of Brewton-Parker College’s upper-level curriculum is offered either partially or completely online. One such program is BPC’s successful hybrid Education degree programs, where students only meet in a classroom at BPC three Saturdays per semester. The rest of the class is taught in a virtual setting with interactive communication between students and instructors. BPC’s Division of Education is fully-accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
“I would like to thank you for this opportunity for Andrew College. We have been in business since 1854, serving students in southwest Georgia and always affiliated with the Methodist church. We are glad to join with a sister institution in higher education and we are thankful for this opportunity Brewton-Parker College has provided for us,” said Dr. David Seyle, president of Andrew College.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
