BPC to offer Community Creative Writing class this fall
MOUNT VERNON –Brewton-Parker College’s Division of Arts & Letters will offer an Intermediate Creative Writing class on the Mount Vernon campus this fall. This evening class is geared to community members interested in honing their writing skills.
The class, “Advanced Techniques in Writing”, is an intermediate writing course that may be taken for credit or non-credit, meaning it is open to community and alumni interested in participating in continuing their education. Cost for non-credit is $150.
The class will be held in the conference room of Robinson Hall on the Mount Vernon campus on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Call Greg in the Office of Admissions to sign up today for ENG/CRW 220 at 912-583-3265.
Dr. Thom Brucie, assistant professor of English and creative writing at BPC, will teach the course. Topics of discussion include writing components, revision and publication possibilities.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. With its main campus located in Mount Vernon, the college also offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its three external sites in Newnan, Norman Park and Liberty County.
